Abu Dhabi Museums & Art

On the beautiful island of Saadiyat lies the world’s single largest concentration of premiere cultural institutes which includes the Zayed National Museum which sits magnificently at the centre of the island and it is proudly known as the Louvre of Abu Dhabi, then there is the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi a performing arts centre and maritime museum. The museum is elevated above the rest of the cultural district at its highest point, the museum tells the story of the region’s history and the unification of the United Arab Emirates through the life and person of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, father of the nation. The museum is due to open in 2016.

On the island of Al Ain in the Al Jahili fort is the Al Ain National Museum which houses an extensive archaeological and ethnographical collection, including some gold pendants coin collection. The museum also has a large collection of gifts received from the dignitaries of the visiting states.

Abu Dhabhi Cultural foundation is a traditional designed building with modern amenities. It is a centre for displaying the rich Islamic culture. It hosts lecture halls, cultural shows, theatre, cinema etc. Many cross-cultural events and seminars are held at the Abu Dhabi Cultural centre.
